The Nubians

Right now we have two non-registered Nubian does. "Nanny Girl" and "Big Mama" :-)

We are starting our first milking season with them this year and are very excited about it. We will be using their milk and making cheese, trying our hand at body products as well maybe.

We have never had goats before and this is all very new to us, but we are VERY excited with the new additions to our family. Both of our Nubian does and our grade doe, Mattie, kidded in March. We are having SOOO much fun with the babies!

As time goes on and finances allow, we hope to become more involved in the dairy goats and are already planning on expanding our herd. I currently have plans on purchasing a specific doe who I am very excited about.

We are very excited about introducing Kastdemur blood through this new doe. I have decided that I really like some of these goats and was absolutely ecstatic to find that blood through Mandy Latimer and her buck. I wasn't sure I'd be able to introduce the blood that I wanted for my herd.

We aren't currently planning on showing any of our goats. We would like to introduce good breeding stock and blood though, both for personal needs as far as udders and milk production, and also hoping to begin a nice breeding herd of our own eventually.

Please check back for photos and for imformation about our expanding herd and the newest members of our farm family!

Our Percentage Boer Bucks

We have two percentage boer bucks right now. Our oldest black and white billy is the sire of all the babies this year. Our second brown and white buck is beautifully built and marked and we be involved in our breeding program as well next year. We are very proud of him and have big hopes for his future as herd sire to at least a few of our goats.

We will hopefully have photos of the two boys soon as well.
